How to troubleshoot a 05:10 error message:
A 05:10 error on the front panel of the printer indicates a formatter card failure. This issue usually does not require on-site service, as the formatter card is a user-replaceable part.
The lights on the formatter card may also provide some information on the condition of the card: The green LED indicates that power is being supplied to the unit. If the red LED is flashing, the formatter card has failed. The yellow LED should be flashing. If yellow light is not flashing, it indicates that the formatter card has failed.
Turn the printer off. Remove the LAN card. Remove the formatter card. Install the formatter card in the original LAN card slot and the LAN card in the original formatter card slot. Turn the printer on and see if the error re-occurs. If the error returns, replace the formatter card. If no error is reported, turn the printer off. Remove and re-install the formatter and LAN cards back to their original slots. Turn the printer on. If no error is reported, verify printer functionality.
